Pressure-Sensing Telemetry Implants

DSI offers a complete line of implantable telemetry to collect pressure signals in species ranging from as small as mice, to large animals such as canines and NHPs. All PhysioTel HD and PhysioTel Digital implants also collect temperature and activity endpoints.

PhysioTel HD-X series telemetry implants are most commonly used in small animals such as mice.  Most researchers find these devices to work well in animals 25 grams or larger. Not only do several DSI HD-X implants sense pressure, but the HD-X11 also measures a biopotential endpoint.

HD-S series telemetry implants are most commonly used in small animals such as rats, ferrets or guinea pigs and work well in animals that are 200 grams or larger. DSI offers HD-S implants capable of measuring multiple pressure endpoints, plus some are capable of measuring a biopotential signal as well.

PhysioTel Digital M series implants are designed for single use and are ideal for species of rabbit size and larger. Not only do several PhysioTel Digital M series implants sense pressure, but the M11 also captures a biopotential signal.

PhysioTel Digital L series implants are designed for long-term implantation in animals of rabbit size or larger, and are often used by researchers who maintain colonies of implanted animals for long-term research programs.  DSI offers PhysioTel Digital L implants capable of measuring measuring multiple pressure endpoints, plus some are capable of measuring a biopotential signal as well.
