Implantable Telemetry Accessories
As the global leader in implantable telemetric physiologic monitors, DSI strives to always meet the needs of researchers. In providing a complete system for monitoring and collecting telemetry information, we are committed to developing innovative parts and accessories to streamline the work done by researchers when conducting telemetry studies.
Lead Coupler Kits
The biopotential Lead Coupler Kits are used to quickly and conveniently join two segments of ECG, EMG, or EEG leads on any DSI biopotential transmitter.
Starter Kits
DSI provides surgical instruction manuals and DVD's in the starter kits with new purchases. Starter kits contain many useful tools to make setup quick and easy.
Training Transmitters
Non-functional transmitters are sold separately to assist in teaching new researchers how to perform a survival surgery. They can also be used to assist experienced surgeons to become comfortable with new surgical methods or trying out a new catheter or lead configuration without ruining a brand new functioning transmitter.
Re-gel Syringes
DSI's transmitters have high frequency solid-state pressure catheters that use non-compressible fluid filled to transmit the pressure signal to the sensor protected within the transmitter body. This method has been validated for long term chronic use and decreases the chances for researchers to destroy sensitive pressure sensors. DSI's proprietary fluid filled catheters have a gel tip that must be re-filled after explant if used in another animal model to prevent the fluid from washing out and negatively impacting patency. Re-gel syringes come sterilized and are a crucial tool for anyone wishing to reuse implants for multiple studies.
Right Angle Connector
Whether using a metal or plastic cage, researchers may use DSI’s Right Angle Connector for the TRX-1 when less space is available for the cable exiting the rear of the TRX-1 transciever. This offers the flexibility of placing cages closer to walls or adjacent cages.
