Coronary Blood Flow Module

The Coronary Blood Flow Analysis Module derives typical flow information such as Maximum and Minimum Flow, Mean, Stroke Volume and Cardiac Output. When coupled with the Left Ventricular Pressure Module, the addition of timing information from this module allows for flows and volumes to be calculated specific to the Systolic and Diastolic portions of the cardiac cycle.

In order to measure coronary flow, a valid left ventricular pressure channel must be present. The graph on this page represents a typical coronary blood flow recording, its related left ventricular blood pressure and its first derivative (dP/dt) as they would appear on the monitor. Automated validation marks for End Diastolic Point and End Systolic Point are available. The validation marks provide visual, on-line verification of the accuracy of the system.
