New Services
Over the past 20 years, wireless physiologic monitoring has evolved from a rarely used technology for specialized research to the “gold standard” used by virtually all major pharmaceutical companies worldwide. On February 3, 2006, the company who pioneered the market, Data Sciences International (DSI), announced the purchase of the LDS Life Sciences business assets from LDS Test and Measurement, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of SPX Corporation. The software products of LDS Life Sciences are principally sold under the “Ponemah” brand name and the hardware product line was originally developed by Gould Instrument Systems, Inc.
The combined offering of DSI and Ponemah will yield strong value for life science researchers in terms of increased speed of discovery and safety assessment as well as reduced overall costs.
Ponemah Hardware offers a wide variety of Thermal Writers and Signal Conditioners to meet the demanding research requirements of the medical research community. Our current line of Thermal Writers offer flexibility with a large feature set including software driven functionality that works seamlessly with the Ponemah Physiology Platform software, and our Signal Conditioners meet today's progressive research requirements by providing users options of having a traditional analog output, affording high resolution with a seamless digital interface, or accurately conditioning up to twelve simultaneous surface ECG leads.
Ponemah software includes the Ponemah Physiology Platform, which is modular in nature and allows the user to custom design the configuration based on their needs, budget and convenience - without the need for any programming. The Ponemah Tissue Platform is tailored specifically for isolated smooth muscle and pulsatile tissue applications. Software Analysis Modules can also be purchased to work with the Ponemah Physiology Platform based on user application.
